Pushing Suvarnabhumi towards top 10 airports
After a rapid programme of work was implemented to fix the initial problems, service has consistently improved. Yet, for the more glorified future, AOT has set its sights on submitting "Suvarnabhumi" in the "Airport of the World" contest.
Suvarnabhumi has the capacity to handle 45 million passengers a year and the capacity would be increased to 54 million in the near future. AOT's management is now prepared to put Suvarnabhumi i the global contest of the Airports Council International (ACI) in 2009.
"Suvanrnabhumi possesses potential in terms of advanced administrative technology and international standard services. Suvarnabhumi is now Southeast Asia's aviation hub and there is a possibility that it could be one of the world's best airports."
That in the second year of operations, the airport will proceed with service improvements and will focus more on training, raising awareness among staff and related agencies and workshops to ensure that the airport is ready in 2009 to compete for the world's top 10 airport title. the contest result will be known in 2010 Airline Ticket >>> |
